TANA mourns the demise of Dr. Tulasi Polavarapu

The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) deeply mourns the loss of Dr. Tulasi Polavarapu garu, who passed away early hours on October 12th, 2019 in Jericho, New York. 

Dr. Tulasi garu was a founding member of TANA and Basawatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital. She was also the recipient of the TANA Community Service Award in 2005. Professionally, Dr. Tulasi garu is Gynecologist and served in various capacities since last 50 years.

Dr. Tulasi garu was an active community leader in the area, contributing her time and resources to many organizations/institutions.

Dr. Tulasi garu, a beloved mother and doting grandmother, is survived by his husband Dr. Raghavarao Polavarapu, 2 children Dr. Sailaja Polavarapu and Dr. Hari Polavarapu and 5 grandchildren.
