Astana keen to increase cooperation in Tourism and Industrial Sectors
Andhra Pradesh received a major boost following the meeting of Chief Minister Shri. N. Chandrababu Naidu with Mr. Asset Issekeshev, the Mayor of Astana. In a few months from now, Astana and Government of Andhra Pradesh will sign MoU to work together on Amaravati.
The Mayor accorded a grand welcome to the CM and his delegation and said that his country shares a good relationship with India.
The Mayor said that they were keen to increase cooperation in tourism and industrial sectors and to increase investments in IT and renewable energy.
The Mayor showed keen interest to share their experience in construction of the capital Amaravati.
Following the results of the meeting, it was decided to set up a joint working group with members from both the sides.
The Mayor informed the CM that he will forward the names of the members from their side in a few days and the Indian Ambassador in Astana will follow up this proposal.
Andhra Pradesh’s working group will be headed by P. Narayana, Minister Municipal Administration, and Urban Development. The working group will also consist of 4 more members.
Both the groups will work closely and share their experiences to build a world-class capital.
The mayor invited the Chief Minister to attend Expo 2017 an International Exposition scheduled to take place in 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
