CM keen on setting up a Russian Industrial Cluster
- Holds bilateral meeting with ELCOM group Director
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a bilateral meeting with SUN Group. SUN Group is a leading principal investor and private equity fund manager in Russia, India, and other emerging markets.
He met Mr. Pradnyil Usgaonkar, Director – Operations and Member of Board, ELCOM group which is a part of globally present SUN group.
The Chief Minister said that the state is willing create a Russian industrial cluster when Mr. Pradnyil informed that their company is keen to explore possibilities of investment in Andhra Pradesh.
Mentioning that ELCOM operates in aerospace communication and electronics Mr. Pradnyil showed interest to bring technology which will generate more finances.
Later, the Chief Minister elaborated on the opportunities available in AP and said that the state is number two in the ease of doing business and has good resources and skilled labour.
“AP is the best place to locate your industry,” the Chief Minister said.
Earlier in the day, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev met Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Chief Minister’s of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan respectively.
India’s Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and Indian Ambassador to Russia Pankaj Saran were also present.
