CM off to Kazakhstan and Russia on 5-day Tour
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has left for five-day Russia tour on July 9 to attract investments in Amaravati capital and to study the architecture of Kazakhstan capital Astana city.
The Astana city, capital of Kazakhstan was developed on the banks of Ishim River to carry out administration. As per 2014 census the population of the city stands at 8, 35,153. The Kazakhstan government invited international competition for developing master plan for Astana city in 1997 and a Japan architect Kishokurokava won the first prize. He developed the master plan for Astana city by giving priority to greenery.
Astana city has several similarities with Amravati capital as the city developed on the banks of Ishim River amidst green surroundings .Prime Minister Narendra Modi who visited the city last year, impressed over the green city and advised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to visit the city for development of Amaravati capital on par with Astana city.
The international airport at Astana city registered air traffic of 33,66,560 passengers in 2015. The international association of civil aviation recognized the airport under 111 A category.
The Chief Minister will leave for Almaty of Kazikistan from Delhi on Saturday and attend Industrial trade fair (INNOPROM-2016) along with Maharastra Chief Minister Fadnavis, Rajastan CM Vasudhara Raje. He will interact with Kazakhstan defence minister and Astana mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov and discuss on the development of Astana city.
The Chief Minister aimed the tour to attract industrialists and investors of 75 countries who are participating in the bipartite meeting for investments in Andhra Pradesh by presenting a report on industrial friendly atmosphere in the state.
The INNOPROM-2016 meet will be held for four days with 200 events and presentations.
The CM will leave from Alamaty to Yekaterinburg on July 10. He will attend the meeting organized by AP Economic development board with CEOs and industrialists of various countries. The CM will participate in 7th INNOPROM-2016 inaugural programme.
