NATA provided protected & safe Drinking Water to 6 tribal hamlets in Araku Valley
Moved by the plight of deep problems (serious fevers) faced by the tribals of hundreds of hamlets of Araku Valley area in Alluri Sitharama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh, where the innocent tribals including children walk for few kilometers in rocky hills for drinking water. North American Telugu Association (NATA) has taken up an initiative in 2019 by then NATA President Dr Raghava Reddy Gosala to address this safe drinking water issue in priority & phased manner every year.
A strong commitment by NATA under the leaderships of Dr Raghava Reddy Gosala & the current President Dr Sridhar Reddy Korsapati has led to provide safe drinking water to these villages including Dokuluru, Gedalapadu, Mebha (Yeguva Veedhi), Mebha, Mebha (Cheruvu Veedhi), Andibha by connecting kilometers long pipelines through the gathered donations worth Rs 30 lakhs INR plus the volunteering done by the local people lead to the successful implementation of this project in all above 6 tribal hamlets in Araku Valley this year.
