T.A.T.A.- NJ Bathukamma Celebrations GRAND Success
Telangana American Telugu Association (T.A.T.A.) – New Jersey team organized a grand Bathuakamma Sambaralu on Saturday, Oct 5, 2019 from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm at Royal Albert’s Palace, 1050 King Georges Post Rd, Fords, NJ 0886, nearly 5000 people attended the event and made a history in New Jersey. It became talk of the town and everyone was amazed with simply WOW! With the arrangements and gigantic Bathukamma prepared as tall as 10 feet with UNIQUE design of Durga imitation and it was the main attraction of the event, in addition nearly 120 Bathukammas were brought by all Telugus in NJ.
The event is organized by NJ team under the guidance of Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy ( Advisory Council Chair) and Dr. Mohan Patalolla(Advisory Council member). The event was planned & executed under the leadership of Srinivas Ganagoni(General Secretary) with the energetic team consists of Srikanth Akkapalli (BOD), Satish Mekala (BOD), Kiran Duggagi(RVP), Shiva Reddy(RVP), Gangadhar Vuppala(SC), Ram Mohan Chinnala(SC), Mahender Narala (SC), Navya Reddy (WC), Deepthi Miryala (WC) and RCs: Naveen Yallamandla, Vijay Bhasker Kalal, Krishna Siddhada, Barath Jella, Narasihma Peruka, Praveen Guduru, Venu Sunkari, Gopi Vutkuri, Narender Reddy, Satish Jillela, Srinivas Burra, Sai, Venky,Shravan Tabeti, Magesh Dusari, Usha Chinta, Vijayender Burra, Praveen Suragoni who worked very hard to make the event a grand success.
The event started with traditional Vinayaka & Durga Pooja prior to playing bathukamma.
Telangana Folk Singer MANGLI electrified the crowd with her amazing songs and she entertained the crowd with her signature songs and mesmerizing performance. The surprise guest DK Aruna garu who happened to be in NJ attended the celebrations and played Bathukamma along with all the women, she mingled with all the women and spent quality time with all the Telugus.
Deepthi Nag Yayavaram (Singer and Anchor) acted as MC of the event and supported Mangli in her performances. The event is supported by TANA, TFAS and Silicon Andhra.

The feedback was simply superb! The attendees noticed that the car parking went to nearly 2 miles in each direction outside of Royal Albert’s Palace, the attendees said this is the first time they have witnessed this kind of experience in such events in New Jersey. There are so many people had to return back due to parking issues. New Jersey Telugus had an opportunity to witness the GRAND Bathukamma Sambaralu in GRAND style with meticulous arrangements by T.A.T.A. The entry was FREE and the delicious Lunch was sponsored by Samudhra and House of Biryanis & Kababs. There are nearly 20 various vendor booths who set up the stalls that created festive atmosphere around the venue.
The biggest Bathukamma in USA was prepared by T.A.T. A. team led by Narasihma Peruka, everyone who attended the event was amazed to see such a huge Bathukamma in USA, some devotees said they never seen such a huge structure even in India. This has become the main attraction.
There are five grand prizes given to Best Bathukamma and 2 for Best costume, the prizes are sponsored by Vynam sarees and Ram Mohan Chinnala. Malabar Gold & Diamond offered a diamond ring as a raffle ticket to one of the winner.
Finally the Bathukamma immersion was done with proper band baja Bharath in a Telangana style the experience was breathtaking. T.A.T.A. NJ team arranged Valet Parking to all the attendees to give them the better experience. The T.A.T.A. NJ team would like to thank all the volunteers , media and many members who came forward and supported the event.
