T.A.T.A Women’s Sports Meet 2020 in New York
Telangana American Telugu Association (T.A.T.A) is all about helping communities, spreading culture, guiding our next generation and organizing charity activities. As part of their continued service to the community, T.A.T.A New York team organized “Women’s Sports Meet 2020” at Kings Park, NY. The New York T.A.T.A team exclusively hosted this event for women by organizing variety of indoor games to make this a fun and memorable event. Bringing back the childhood memories, the T.A.T.A team organized games like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Throw Ball, Table Tennis, Carrom Board, Chess, Tennikoit, Hopscotch and many more fun-loving games. The event started with Indian and American flag hoisting and reciting national anthems followed by youth kick off cheerleading dance by Srija Geevanagari, Rithika Katla, Samyukta Vattigunta & Krithika Vulavala. Women of all ages competed and thoroughly enjoyed the day while participating in all single and group games.
Women from all walks of life appreciated T.A.T.A New York team’s effort in organizing the historic event, which was witnessed for the first time in New York state and country. Multiple participants shared their experiences and elation with the audience. The event went on by serving healthy lunch, liquids, tea, and snacks towards the end. Kabaddi happened to be the finale, which ended on a high note once again reminding us of the fierce competitive spirit which women own. T.A.T.A New York team will be announcing the Women Champion of the day on Women’s Day who would get 2 free tickets for T.A.T.A Mega Convention 2020 being held on May 22-24, 2020 in New Jersey.
Such a sporting event was greatly appreciated and acknowledged by various communities and complimented T.A.T.A New York team in organizing this event dedicated to women and sports.
T.A.T.A Women’s Chair Madhavi Soleti, New York Board of Director Usha Mannem, Cultural Co-Chair Rama Vanama, Regional Coordinators Mounika Barma and Vani Singirikonda spearheaded the event with enormous help from rest of the team.
The T.A.T.A New York team conveyed special thanks to the women who made this event a grand success through their participation and thanked all the volunteers for their untiring efforts in making this a memorable event. Looking at the huge response, the team thanked the community for recognizing its efforts towards women empowerment and promised to organize this event every year.
This Sports Meet was supported and encouraged by Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy garu, and T.A.T.A New York Board of Directors Sharath Vemuganti, Sahodar Peddireddi, Usha Mannem, Pavan Ravva, Regional Vice President Mallik Reddy, Standing Committee Chairs Srinivas Gurudu (Literary), Madhavi Soleti (Women), Convention Cultural Chair Ashok Chintakunta, Standing Committee Co-Chairs Rama Vanama (Cultural), Raghuram Pannala (Literary), Regional Coordinators Sathya Gaggenapally, Yogi Vanama, Praveen Govindu, Mounika Barma and Vani Singirikonda. While addressing the Media New York’s T.A.T.A team pledged that they want to take these organizational activities to next level by participating and organizing such social activities in mainstream America as well as in motherland.
